Wow, uh. This turned out a lot better than I initially anticipated. Like, a lot. All I can't stand is his face...
I only did this because I was home alone all day with nothing to do. And I wanted to do something with watercolors. And draw Jonathan. Yeah... And something autumn-y, 'cause, you know, getting in that kind of mood with Halloween approaching.
Eh. What now? Character info? Character info.
Name: Jonathan
Other names: Jo (Nickname)
Age: 8
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Gender: M
Race: Human; game piece
Title: n/a
Personality: innocent, cowardly, naive, faithful
Powers: Implied to be psychic, in the sense he apparently still talks to his mother, Lottie.
Description: Anthony and Lottie's son, who took after his mother in appearance. Much like his father, he too is a game piece belonging to Alice. Unlike Anthony, though he misses his mother, he seems to be fine with her being gone. He also does not follow his father's beliefs, in the sense that a higher power has abandoned them, or there is none at all. In his frustration, Anthony has neglected and even beaten Jonathan on occasion, yet he remains happy despite his circumstances, and still loves his father.
Being a huge fan of water colors, I cannot even fathom how much I adore this piece. The soft, yet striking orange hues are beautiful even with the distinction of the pallid azure negative space. The finishing touch of butterflies makes it all the more graceful, and is a great addition to the picture. Not only this, but Jonathan seems like a very intriguing character -- the description makes me all the more curious about Jonathan and this world he lives in. May I wish you the best of luck with coming up with a title. Overall, I really enjoyed reading the character description and the picture.
